Francesca Mercieca, representing St. Paul’s Bay, was crowned Miss Universe Malta 2026 during the grand finale held on July 16 at the Hilton Malta Conference Centre.
After beginning her modelling journey at just 14, Francesca grew into a beauty and skincare specialist, entrepreneur, and advocate for self-love and wellness. Now, she is preparing to carry Malta’s flag onto one of the world’s biggest pageant stages.
The competition featured 20 women from across the Maltese islands, but when Francesca’s name was finally announced, her emotional reaction said everything. Reigning Miss Universe Fátima Bosch was also present to witness the unforgettable crowning moment.
Francesca will represent Malta at the 75th Miss Universe pageant in Puerto Rico this November.
